They are all great and offer different things. For example Thailand is great for its beaches and great food, Cambodia has the stunning Angkor Wat and some interesting history....Vietnam is very diverse. It definitely helped our relationship. We traveled together every chance we got and managed to stay happy along the way. I definitely agree with your points of taking some time apart on the road (especially when she wants to shop) and meeting new friends (it takes the pressure off both of you).
