There is no doubt Machu Picchu is a mystical place. You may have come across the Machu Picchu Face before, but I hadn’t and I found it quite interesting.
Whether the image has been altering using software is debatable. Having been to Machu Picchu myself I would have to say that I have never seen the face.
It’s likely that this was the victim of the photoshop treatment, if I had seen this image before my visit I may have kept an eye out for it.

That is a pretty awesome photo even if it might be altered! I just compared it to some of my photos and, assuming it is real, it looks like there has been considerable erosion since then.
