Thanks for your comment! You'll love the traveling, I doubt you'll ever regret doing it! I'm traveling again early next year too.. for a while anyway.
Good travel sites?
You could try <a href="http://www.gobackpacking.com," rel="nofollow">www.gobackpacking.com,</a> or even <a href="http://matadornetwork.com/" rel="nofollow">http://matadornetwork.com/</a>.
The thorn tree (lonely planet) is quite good for advice too.
Thanks,
Paul @

If you wanna party...why not stay at home? If you want to see new thing and experience new cultures then go traveling...
Unfortunately lot of people in australia are there for the wrong reason....
I'm sure you're on the right track.

I'm pretty sure I've ran into every one of these on my trip. Don't go to the east coast of Australia if you don't want to run into any Captain Club 18-30's. The place is crawling with them. I found if you pay a little bit more at a hostel they tend to thin out. They spend their money on beer, not hostels.
I once asked one of them if he had any other trips planned and he said he was going to Canada next year. Being from there, I was interested and asked why. He heard it was a good place to party.

Awesome list Paul. I'm pretty sure I've ran into every one of these on my trip. Great post-very interesting-I had some good laughs...For one, I'm in the field of behv
health so I chuckled when reading your list of travel personalities-
I too have been a 'cling on' when I first started out, bringing waay too much gear + dropping some names--travel is such a learning experience at many levels. Must have run into the gang of 'captain club 18's' during 1st hostel experience and about all 8 on list over time (and now I'm a bit wiser/selective with travel buds to invite int'lly)

Hi Paul,

Great post-very interesting-I had some good laughs…For one, I'm in the field of behv

health so I chuckled when reading your list of travel personalities-

I too have been a 'cling on' when I first started out, bringing waay too much gear + dropping some names–travel is such a learning experience at many levels.
