Writers Profile
As a writer for TravMonkey.com you’ll have your own profile that you can update. You own profile page will highlight your portfollio of articles as well as external links to your own blog/website and any social media outlets that you are active in.
Readers will have the chance to follow you via these links as well as browsing all your articles.
At the end of each of your articles is your bio section that will be populated by the information supplied in your “about me” field of your profile, your avatar will also be displayed and can be updated by editing your profile.
Country Experts
If you are a expert on certain countries and you have written many articles you may appear in our “Country Experts” lists on individual country pages. These writers are ranked based on the number of articles they have written about a country or region.
If you are local to a country you can specify this within your profile. On the countries page your avatar will appear as “Local/Lived here” or if you are in the country experts list you’ll have an icon indicating that you have lived in the country.
If you have travelled to a particular country you can also indicate this in your profile, your avatar will be displayed on the country’s page under “Travelled Here” unless you are a country expert.
