Feel the fear! With the highest bungee jump in the world.
Are you looking to conquer a fear or looking for a challenge on your next big trip?
Strap a bungee chord to your ankles, battle the fear and throw yourself off one of the 9 highest bungee jumps in the world.
9. Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe – 111 metres
It maybe number 10 on the list but this bungee has a spectacular view of the Victoria Falls. Jumpers will also get a superb view of the Zambezi River as they hurtle towards it.
8. Action Valley, Peru – 122 metres
This bungee is near Cusco in Peru and sees bungee jumpers free fall out of a small cage suspended in the air. The cage itself is raised via a hydraulic winch to a height of 122 metres.
7. Nevis Highwire, Queenstown, New Zealand – 134 metres
This bungee is suspended in a valley above the Nevis River. As if it isn’t bad enough making your way across to the cable car, it’s a real test of nerves as the “Nevis Pod” has a part glass floor to watch other jumpers freefall for eight and a half seconds.

8.5 seconds of free fall from the Nevis Highwire.
6. Vidraru Dam, Romania – 166 metres
On the Arges River and on the Transfagarasn Road the Vidraru Dam is the site for Romania’s 166 metre high bungee jump. The Vidraru Dam is a beautiful location for a frightful experience.
5. Bhoti Kosi River, Nepal – 166 metres
This nerve racking 166 meter bungee is situated on a steel suspension bridge high above the Bhoti Kosi River on the Nepal and Tibet border. You’ll be screaming all the way into the Bhoti Kosi gorge.
4. Europabrücke bei Innsbruck, Austria – 192 metres
This 192 metre bungee near Innsbruck, Austria allows bungee lovers to jump from under the bridge.
3. Bloukrans Bridge, South Africa 216 metres
The Bloukrans Bridge is situated near Nature’s Valley, Western Cape of South Africa. The bridge itself is a huge arch bridge with the Bloukrans river running beneath. At 216 metres high this bungee has a spectacular view if you are willing to brave the height.
2. Locarno, Switzerland – 220 metres
If you remember the opening scenes of Bond film “Goldeneye” when Bond bungees off a Russian dam? Well that dam is actually in Locarno, Switzerland. You can pretend to be bond by throwing yourself into the air suspended by a rubber chord attached to the Verzasca Dam.
1. Macau Tower, Macau – 233 metres
The Macau Tower bungee jump is the highest in the world at a terrifying 233 metres high. Bungee jumpers face the fear by throwing themselves off the tower towards the concrete streets and tiny people below. A true test of nerve even for the hardcore bungee jumpers.
Have you battled the nerves and thrown yourself into thin air on a bungee jump? Tell us about it in the comments.

As part of my trip next year I really want to do a big bungee jump. I’ve just tried to find more info on the Auckland Harbour Bridge Jump and seem to only com up with a 40m one…?
Queenstown appears to be 134m but I’ll be going right through Auckland! Is the 134m Auckland jump a typo and/or could you possibly let me know of some locations to do a moderately large anywhere north of christchurch?
Thanks!
Dave
Hi Dave,
Apologies for that, I actually remember being in Auckland and the AJ Hacket bungee off the bridge is actually only 40metres.
I’ll think the Queenstown Nevis Highwire is the highest in Austaliasia.
I had the opportunity to jump at Macau tower. So much fun, the view is amazing. If you are traveling through Hong Kong, Macau tower is a must do side trip. The crew is top notch!
Hi friend,
I'm planning to go to Austria on my next trip, that will be on next july.
Since I've already jumped in another opportunities, such as Bloukrans Bridge and Verzasca Dam, I'd like to jump from Europabrücke in Austria.
So, I need some informations about the place, as nearest city, how to get there (by bus, train, airplane), how many days could I spend to visit the region, etc.
I would appreciate if you could help with that.
Also, another question: do you know bungee jumps (highest ones) in Italy (western bound) and Portugal (close to Lisbon)?
Thank you very much!!!! Best regards!
I have jumped off the Nevis and the Verzasca Dam (I proposed to my wife after we both did the Verzasca jump) and they are both very different. I liked that the Nevis involved a peaceful ride in a cable car leading to the Nevis Pod, which was pumping some hard rock music and was filled with an enthusiastic crew. The Verzasca Dam was higher and there were a lot more spectators than the Nevis. It's also a little tough to find by car since the roads wind around the lake and the mountains. Both Queenstown and Locarno offer lots of other things to do and are beautiful cities, but try to book a hotel ahead of time as both are big travel destinations.
Also, if you're a big guy like me make sure you meet the weight requirements and other requirements before heading to one of these locales.
Hi Rob,
Thanks for your comment.
I think if I was in Switzerland I'd have to give the Verzasca Dam bungee a go! I think bungee jumping is quite addictive in that once you've done it you know you can do it again.
Thank again,

Just did it last week. Great fun and a very fun crew, sadly, this did not make my jump very gracefull. Saw the DVD last night for the first time and had to pick myself off the floor from laughter. The closest big town is Innsbruck, and you can catch a bus to Schonberg (???), and from there it is an easy 20 minute walk to the bridge. My advice, book ahead. Have fun!
Hi Jeffo,
Thanks for the info! I've only ever done the Nevis in New Zealand, but I think if I was in Austria I'd definitely check out this bungee!
Thanks,
Paul
Sometimes I wish I could do something like this, but I know I never will. Still fun to watch others do it though.
I think you should do it Eric! You only live once after all.
ive done #3, #8 and #9. all amazing. very fun, thrilling and seems to make life a little more enjoyable
Hi, where can I book ??
